I have been with KAB since early 2018 and I am really enjoying my time here.  I have learnt a lot of new skills, and have been trained to use my skills across 4 different production activities - including trimming, high rise, suspension building and arm rest manufacture, and therefore I can do a variety of jobs across the factory.

There’s a really nice atmosphere to work in, and although I’m quite new to the site, I have been made very welcome by the teams I have joined. As well as offering us training, our management regularly inform all the site about the company’s performance, how we are doing with our customers, production numbers, quality etc.

For me, I am happy that the four day working week really suits my lifestyle and I’m able to plan a number of things on the Friday that I usually have off.

Although I’m not originally from the UK, I have worked in other companies, but feel most at home here at KAB.

I have been at KAB for nearly 25 years and I feel very much at home here. I’ve had many different jobs over the period, tried new things and seen many changes at the site. The types of seats we build now have evolved since I first started and I’ve worked on nearly all of them, including the time when we did seats for both Jaguar and Aston Martin cars!!!

The one thing that hasn’t really changed is the family atmosphere. People are always willing to help each other out, you just have to ask and there is plenty of support. I’ve made a lot of friends at KAB, and although over the years people have come and gone, the family atmosphere has remained. Having been here for 25 years, I really feel at home.

I’ve been at KAB Seating for 3 years, working as a Programme Manager. My job means that I need to work with all areas of the business in order to launch new seating products for our customers. I’ve had the opportunity to travel to other companies in our group, as well as to visit suppliers and customers; it’s really interesting working closely with colleagues from all around the world.

KAB has supported me with training and development – I’m currently doing a level 4 apprenticeship in Project Management. There’s a friendly atmosphere here, and it seems like there are lots of opportunities to progress. I also felt happy with my return to work after maternity leave, my manager and I worked together to arrange reduced hours until I felt ready to resume full-time work.
